Privacy Policy

Pair Sketch ("Pair Sketch", "we", "us", or "our") helps you generate an AI‑created pencil sketch of a dream partner using information you provide. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: email, name, and related data handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). We rely on Clerk to securely store and manage account profiles and sessions.
• Inputs for generation: birth date, birth time, birth location, and optional preferences (e.g., gender preference). These inputs are used to create a text description and an image prompt.
• Generated outputs: the AI‑produced description and the resulting image/preview returned to your browser.
• Transaction and support data: when payments are enabled, limited billing metadata and support communications necessary to fulfill orders, provide receipts, and assist you. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, timestamps, and basic event logs for reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication, session management, preferences, and product functionality.

How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the service, including AI generation.
• Process payments and deliver purchases when enabled.
• Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, and debug issues.
• Improve quality, performance, and user experience.
• Communicate with you about the service and policy updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

AI Generation and Third Parties

To generate the description and image, we send your inputs (e.g., birth details and preferences) to our AI gateway provider, OpenRouter, which forwards prompts to model providers such as OpenAI and Google for processing. Those providers may receive and temporarily process your inputs to produce the output and may retain logs pursuant to their own policies. Review their privacy practices before use.

We instruct models not to store or reuse your content where such options exist, but we cannot control third‑party behavior. Do not enter information you would not want shared with third‑party AI processors.

Payments

When payments are enabled, checkout is handled by our payment processor, Creem. Creem collects and processes your payment details and shares back limited metadata so we can deliver your purchase and provide support. Refer to Creem's own privacy policy for details.

Data Retention

• Generation inputs: used transiently to produce your output. We do not persist birth details long‑term for generation, except limited logs needed for service reliability and abuse prevention.
• Outputs: the image/preview is returned to your browser. We do not maintain a permanent gallery by default. If you download or save the image, it is stored on your device.
• Account, billing, and support records: retained for as long as you have an account and as required by law (e.g., tax, accounting).
• Logs and security records: retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

• Contract: to provide the service and deliver purchases.
• Legitimate interests: to secure, operate, and improve the service.
• Consent: where required (e.g., certain cookies or marketing).
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.

How We Share Information

• Service providers: authentication (Clerk), AI gateway and model providers (OpenRouter and model providers), payment processors, hosting, analytics, and customer support tools.
• Legal and safety: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar event, consistent with this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

Security

We employ administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

We may process and store information in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross‑border transfers.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access, correction, deletion: contact us to exercise rights, or manage account data via Clerk’s user settings.
• Opt‑out of marketing: unsubscribe from emails, if applicable.
• Cookies: control cookies via your browser settings.
• California residents: you may have rights to know, delete, and opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information.

Children's Privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date or providing additional notice as required. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
